DIVERSIDADE DE MORCEGOS EM CAVERNAS DE SÃO FÉLIX DO XINGU, PARÁ: ANÁLISE ESPACIAL E DINÂMICA SAZONAL

Morcegos desempenham papéis cruciais nos ecossistemas, com muitas espécies utilizando cavernas como refúgios. A riqueza e composição de suas comunidades são influenciadas por características físicas das cavernas e condições ambientais. Este estudo investigou os fatores que determinam a dissimilaridade entre comunidades de morcegos cavernícolas no município de São Félix do Xingu, Pará, Brasil, questionando se existe variação na composição de espécies entre as estações seca e chuvosa, se a dissimilaridade entre as assembleias está relacionada à distância geográfica e às características das cavernas, e quais características das cavernas explicam a presença e composição das assembleias de morcegos. Foram amostradas 90 cavernas durante as estações seca e chuvosa, identificando 11 espécies em 83 cavernas (93,3% do total). As espécies Peropteryx kappleri e Glossophaga soricina foram as mais frequentes, e análises confirmaram a influência da sazonalidade na composição das comunidades. A diversidade beta total foi moderada (β_total = 0,282). A análise de múltiplas regressões mostrou que a distância geográfica teve impacto mínimo e estatisticamente não significativo, enquanto o volume das cavernas demonstrou uma influência marginalmente significativa na diferença de riqueza (p = 0,06). Modelos de mínimos quadrados generalizados indicaram que cavernas maiores estão associadas a maior riqueza de espécies (p = 0,02). A Redundância Parcial (RDAp) e redundância parcial baseada em distâncias (dbRDAp) destacou variáveis como altitude e desenvolvimento horizontal como fatores significativos para a variação na composição de espécies, especialmente durante a estação chuvosa. Os resultados sugerem que a sazonalidade e características físicas das cavernas, como volume, desempenham papéis essenciais na estruturação das comunidades de morcegos. Este estudo contribui para uma compreensão mais abrangente da ecologia de metacomunidades cavernícolas, ressaltando a importância de múltiplos fatores ambientais e espaciais na conservação destes habitats.
