Abstract

Quick studies or inventories of bats are the key to understanding the diversity of this group of great environmental importance in Brazilian Biological Reserves. Here we describe the results of a quick study in the Guaporé Biological Reserve, in the state of Rondônia, which is a Reserve of high environmental relevance due to its size and variation of phytophysiognomies. In two nights of sampling with mist nets, we recorded seven species of bats from the Phyllostomidae and Noctilionidae families. The record of the species Noctilio leporinus stands out, which until then had only one record for the state of Rondônia. New samplings within the Rebio Guaporé should reveal ample diversity and denote the positive impact of this reserve on the conservation and maintenance of Neotropical bats.
