Uxi (Endopleura uchi) is a tree species native to the South American rainforest, being one of the many tree species found in the Amazon rainforest; therefore, it is an important resource for both local communities and industry. The objective of this study is to conduct a literature and bibliometric review of the main research developed on Uxi culture over a ten-year period (2013-2023) in order to evaluate the direction of research lines in the Scopus, Embase, BVS, and Web of Science databases. The following keywords were used for the search: uxi, Endopleura uchi and Endopleura uchi (Huber) Cuatrec, being combined with each other using connectors and Boolean operators. For the bibliometric review, approximately 22 articles were used, selected based on the application of exclusion criteria such as: year, language, type of publication, repetition of documents, among others. It was identified that the studies developed are mainly focused on its pharmacological and toxicological use. The most relevant research indicates the use of the fruit in anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, anti-aging, and antifungal activities due to the effect of bergenin. No study related to the preservation of uxi was observed, which may result in the loss of local biodiversity, since the plant has high seed dormancy and difficulty in propagation and production of seedlings, requiring the encouragement of more research focused on the crop, stimulating the improvement of production techniques and exploration of the substances.
