Abstract

This is the editorial policy of the journal Biodiversidade Brasileira (ISSN 2236-2886), a scientific publication of the Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity Conservation (ICMBio), created by ICMBio Ordinance n. 25 of April 29, 2011, and revised by ICMBio Ordinance n. 1,742 of May 12, 2025. Among other topics, the journal is dedicated to publishing scientific texts focused on the following themes: conservation and management of protected areas; management and sustainable use of renewable natural resources; biodiversity and threatened species; monitoring and protection of biodiversity and natural heritage; and education and training for the conservation of socio-biodiversity. The policy was developed by the editorial team of the journal Biodiversidade Brasileira and validated by the Thematic Committee and the Editorial Board.
