Guidelines for authors
1. Registration in the Brazilian Biodiversity Journal System
Before submitting a manuscript, it is mandatory that the responsible author be properly registered in the Open Journal Systems (OJS), used by the Brazilian Biodiversity Journal.
Registration is necessary to allow access to the submission area and monitoring of all stages of the editorial process, from manuscript submission to the final decision. Furthermore, it ensures that authorship information, institutional affiliation, email, and ORCID are correctly recorded in the journal's database. Therefore, the form must be completed carefully.
Registration Steps:
Access the journal's website: [https://revistaeletronica.icmbio.gov.br/BioBR](https://revistaeletronica.icmbio.gov.br/BioBR).
Click on "Registration" in the upper right menu.
Fill in all the required fields of the registration form, including full name, affiliation, and email. After submission, check your email inbox (including your spam folder) to confirm your registration and activate your account.
Only after account activation will it be possible to submit the manuscript by accessing the New Submission option in the author panel.
If the author is already registered in the system, simply access the profile with your login and password to begin the submission.
Important: each author should maintain only one active registration in the system. Using a single profile facilitates communication with the editorial team and avoids duplicate registrations.
